Condom Covers (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information when you visit or buy from our Shopify store at condomcovers.com, and how we meet our obligations under the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

3. What personal information we collect

We collect information you provide when you order or contact us, including: name, delivery and billing address, email, phone, payment token (via payment provider — we do not store raw card numbers), order history, account password (hashed), and optional marketing preferences. We also automatically collect device, browser and visit data (IP, pages viewed, referrer, cookies). We may collect age where required to verify legal purchase age (18+).

4. How we use personal information

We use information to:

  • Process and fulfil orders (payment, shipping, returns);
  • Provide customer support;
  • Send transactional messages (order confirmations, shipping notices);
  • Send marketing (only with consent or where permitted), subject to opt-out;
  • Detect and prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations; and
  • Improve our site and services.

5. Legal bases & Australian obligations

Where applicable we rely on contractual necessity (to fulfil orders), consent (for marketing), and legitimate interests (fraud prevention). We comply with the APPs and the Notifiable Data Breaches (NDB) scheme — if an eligible data breach occurs we will notify affected individuals and the OAIC where required.

6. Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies for site functionality, analytics and (where you consent) marketing. You can manage cookie preferences via the banner/settings on our site and/or your browser. Third-party analytics and advertising services may set cookies — see “Third parties” below.

7. Third parties & international disclosure

We use trusted third-party service providers (Shopify, payment processors such as Stripe/PayPal, fulfillment/shipping partners, email platforms) who may process data on our behalf. These suppliers may store data on servers outside Australia. We use contractual safeguards and the Shopify Data Processing Addendum where applicable. See Shopify’s privacy and DPA pages for details.

8. Direct marketing & Spam law

We will only send marketing communications where you have consented (or where permitted). Every commercial message includes an easy unsubscribe option in accordance with the Spam Act 2003 and Australian guidance — we will honour unsubscribe requests promptly.

9. Data quality, security & retention

We take reasonable steps (access controls, encryption for stored sensitive data, secure hosting) to protect personal information. We retain data for as long as necessary to provide services, comply with legal obligations (e.g., GST and tax record-keeping), or as otherwise required. If you wish to request deletion, access or correction, contact us — we’ll respond in line with the Privacy Act and APPs.

10. Notifiable data breaches & incident response

If we suspect an eligible data breach, we will investigate, take remedial steps and notify affected individuals and the OAIC where required under the NDB scheme.

11. Children

Our products are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from people under 18. If we become aware that we hold information of an under-18 without parental consent we will delete it unless retention is required by law.

We may update this policy; important changes will be posted on our site with a revised effective date.
